Urban Decay Primer Potion VS Too Faced Shadow Insurance

I've always wanted to do an experiment with these two Primers, so this experiment is done over the course of four hours.

The first difference I noticed is that Urban Decay's Primer Potion has more ingredients. The weight of Too Faced Shadow Insurance is 11 g/ 0.35 Oz, and Urban Decay's weight is 10ml e 0.34 US fl. oz. The formula for Too Faced Shadow Insurance is a lot runnier than Urban Decay's (and you have to shake up Too Faced Shadow Insurance). Urban Decay's Primer Potion is almost a mousse.

10:40 AM, I've applied both Primers on my arm, let them set for 10 minutes, then applied Make Up Forever's Neon Pink eyeshadow.

12:40 PM, 2 hours later, both shadows are still looking well pigmented and silky. The only difference I can tell so far is that Urban Decay's Primer Potion is looking a little chalky near the bottom of the swatch.

2:40 PM, 4 hours after application, at this point both of the shadows are still looking very similar. The only main difference that I can see is that Urban Decay's Primer Potion chalked a bit near the bottom of the swatch, and the swatch with Too Faced Shadow Insurance seems to have a little more colour intensity.

All in all, I am very undecided about choosing between these two primers. I'll definitely be doing a longer more in-depth review and experiment soon.

Tutorial: Nothern Lights

I wanted to do a really light shimmery look, so this is what I came up with yesterday.

Step 1: After priming your lids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, apply NYX Cosmetic's Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.

Step 2: Blend it out with your finger.

Step 3: Apply Maybeline's Shimmery White eyeshadow all over your lid, with a small flat eyeshadow brush.

Step 4: Using a fluffy brush, apply more of Maybeline's Shimmery White eyeshadow into the crease, and blend it upwards to the browbone.

Step 5: Using a fluffy brush again, apply MAC's Stars'n'Rockets eyeshadow into your crease. Blend well.

Step 6: Apply MAC's Aquadisiac eyeshadow to the outter third of your lid, and then blend inwards towards the center.

Step 7: Apply MAC's Aquadisiac eyeshadow right under the start of your eyebrows, and blend downwards into the groove at the side of your nose. (See pictures) Blend well.

Step 8: Apply Clinique's High Lengths Mascara.

Step 9: Contour your face with Rimmel London's Pink Sugar blush.

Step 10: Apply MAC's Gel Lipstick (From the Champale Collection).

Step 11: Apply NYX Cosmetic's 24 Karet lipgloss to the center of your lips, and blend it out.
