Urban Decay's Chronic & Jones Eyeshadows: Review, Swatches

Please Read: I am not paid by any cosmetic companies to review any of these products. Everything I review is bought by me, and I will always give a %100 honest review.
  • Packaging:  These eyeshadows come in the traditional UD pot packaging. I adore the packaging because it's so unique compared to other companies' packaging, and it's still durable.
  • Product: These are both nicely pigmented colours from UD. The formulas are VERY smooth/velvety. They're also very long lasting even without a primer.
    • Chronic: is a matte grass green shade. In the pan, you can see bits of shimmer, but when you apply it, no glitter shows up. It comes in the bronze version of UD's packaging.
    • Jones: is a shimmery, creamy orange shade. This colour is perfect for summer, it works well with more warm shades.
  • Dupes: Jones is very similar to UD's Free Love. Chronic is very similar to Inglot's #385, although #385 is slightly darker.
  • Final Thoughts: These are VERY impressive! They were actually my first UD eyeshadow purchases, and I truly am happy with these purchases. I will definitely be buying them again!

Tutorial: Jeweltone Prom Look

Hello! Here's a look that I did today. I loved it so much that I made it into a tutorial for Prom! I really love jeweltones, especially in makeup. I would recommend fixing your eyebrows if you were actually wearing this to Prom, I just felt pretty lazy this morning. Alright, here we go.

1. Apply a primer to your eyelids. I'm using Too Faced Shadow Insurance. This is actually a pretty important step, even if you're just wearing this to school or something.

2. Apply Urban Decay's 24/7 Shadow Pencil in Clash to the middle of your eyelid.

3. Using a wet, flat eyeshadow brush, apply Annabelle Cosmetic's Studio Pigment in Dragonette to the outter third of your eyelid.

4. Using a fluffy crease brush, blend out the edges of the eyeshadows.

5. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply MAC Cosmetic's Stars'n'Rockets eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyelid. Blend it out and into Urban Decay's Clash.

6. Apply GOSH Cosmetic's Effect Powder in Purple Rain on top of MAC's Stars'n'Rockets.

7. Apply a creme coloured eyeshadow on your browbone to highlight. I'm using the browbone colour in the Sweet As Candy palette from Wet'n'Wild.

8. Apply GOSH's Purple Rain Effect Powder to your lower lashline, and then apply mascara. I'm using Sephora's black mascara.

Urban Decay's Apocalyptic Nail Set Review

Please Read: I am not paid by any cosmetic companies to review any of these products. Everything I review is bought by me, and I will always give a %100 honest review.
  • Packaging:  The nail polishes come in tiny nail polish jars, inside plastic casing to hold them in place. This particular set comes with a long, sparkly purple zipper makeup bag that says Urban Decay on it. This is great for storage, and it's super cute. The applicator in the polishes is a little too small for my taste, and it seems like it takes so much longer to apply the shade to your nails.
  • Product: These nail polishes are all beautiful shades, and they're pretty runny. I was a little surprised because I noticed these chip quickly.. for Urban Decay I think they should be more long lasting. A top coat is definitely needed. The drying speed is definitely average; nothing special.
    • White Widow: is a light shimmery grey/white.
    • Gunmetal: is a shimmery brown/ grey.
    • Apocalypse: is a redish plum shade.
    • Grunge: is a shimmery medium grey.
    • Meltdown: is a medium shimmery purple shade.
    • Big Bang: is a metallic bright pink shade.
    • Fbomb: is a medium faded red shade.
  • Final Thoughts: These are really awesome shades, and this nail set is always out of stock! So many people wanted this, and I totally think it's worth the money. I just wish they didn't chip as often!
