NYX Loose Pearl Pigments in Sky Pink, Orange Zest, Yellow Pearl, Jade Pearl, Purple, Ocean Blue, Grass Pearl, and Rust: Review, Pictures & Swatches

Loose powder shadows offering intense colour, finely milled for glide-on application and satiny feel.
  • Packaging:  The pigments come in tiny plastic bottles with a black screw on cap. They're definitely smaller than NYX Cosmetic's new Chrome pigments, but they're slightly taller. (See my reviews for Fuchsia, and Penny). These are super easy to store. When you un-screw the cap, there's a small opening for the pigment to prevent fallout, but still it can happen. A tiny brush or Q-tip can fit into the packaging.
  • Product: These pigments are smooth and satiny, and really do glide on nicely. They're all pretty shimmery. They're well pigmented, but sometimes using a brighter eyeshadow as a base can really make the colours pop.
    • Sky Pink: is a shimmery, rosy pink.
    • Orange Zest: is a bright orange shade.
    • Yellow Pearl: is a gorgeous bright yellow.
    • Jade Pearl: is a bright jade green shade.
    • Purple: is a medium purple shade.
    • Ocean Blue: is a medium blue / oceany shade. Hence the name.
    • Grass Pearl: is a shimmery, muted chartreuse green.
    • Rust: is a bright, dark copper / gold shade.
  • Final Thoughts: These pigments are well-pigmented, and very reasonably priced. There are 30 different shades to choose from, so theres a good variety. They also have new chrome eyeshadows are bigger, and come in 60 different shades for $7.99 each.
    • Availability: $4.99, NYX Cosmetics

    Princess Zarina Inspired Look

I did this look inspired by "Princess Zarina" from the planet "Dominia", hahah. She's a princess from the movie Leprechaun 4. There are 6 of the Leprechaun movies. We played them all weekend, throughout my party. :P Anyways, I was inspired by her gold eyes, cat eye lashes, gold glitter, gold lips, and purple eyebrows! This look is basically  just an intense gold look, you could definitely wear it out. I would tone it down a bit though. :)

NYX Cosmetics Chromatic Pigment in Penny: Review, Pictures & Swatches

I adore these! Check out my review for NYX Cosmetic's Fuchsia pigment.

    • Packaging: Like the Loose Pearl pigments by NYX, these come in a clear plastic bottle with a black cap. Although these are bigger than the Loose Pearl pigments.
    • Product: These pigments apply smoothly and evenly. Each bottle is $7.99 for 0.07oz (2g). Loose Pearl pigments by NYX are $4.99 for 0.06oz (5ml).
      • Penny: is a bright, shimmery copper shade.
    • Final Thoughts: I was extremely impressed with the quality and colour payoff of this product. I would definitely recommend these pigments if you're on a budget. They do the job for a good price. Also with 56 different shades, you can't go wrong.

NYX Cosmetics Dramatic Chromatic Pigment in Fuchsia Review, Pictures & Swatches

I bought this pigment at IMATS 2011 Toronto, and I didn't even open or use it until today. Which is ridiculous, I love this product!
      • Fuchsia: is a bright shimmery fuchsia purple. When I looked at this pigment I thought it was pretty similar to MAC Cosmetic's Stars'n'Rockets, but Stars'n'Rockets is more iridescent and has more blue undertones. Scroll down to view the swatches.
    • Final Thoughts: I was extremely impressed with the quality and colour payoff of this product. I would definitely recommend these pigments if you're on a strict budget. They do the job for a good price. Also with 56 different shades, you can't go wrong.

Tutorial: Fun Valentine's Look Using NYX Cosmetics

Valentine's Day is tomorrow and I wanted to upload another look for it. This one is a lot more colourful and fun. I took a lot of pictures so we could all really appreciate the colours. :P My hair was being all weird today, so I couldn't get a decent full-face picture, sorry.

Step 1: Prime your lids with Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

Step 2: Apply NYX Cosmetic's Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk all over your lid and crease, then blend it up to your brows.

Step 3: Apply NYX Cosmetic's Copper eyeshadow into your crease and blend outwards with a fluffy brush.

Step 4: Blend NYX Cosmetic's Peach Bronze eyeshadow into your crease with the same fluffy brush.

Step 5: Using a small, flat eyeshadow brush, apply NYX Cosmetic's Sky Pink pigment to the outter 1/2 of your lid, and blend it towards the inner corner. Make sure to wipe your brush with a brush cleanser.

Step 6: Using the small, flat eyeshadow brush, apply NYX Cosmetic's Red Head eyeshadow to your crease.

    Step 7: Blend it in.

Step 8: Apply NYX Cosmetic's Fuchsia pigment to your inner corner, and blend it towards the Sky Pink pigment.

Step 9: Apply Maybeline's Falsies Lashes Mascara to your lashes. Make sure to spoolie out your lashes before and after the application for fuller lashes.

Step 10: Line your waterline with Maybeline's Gel Liner in Blackest Black.

Step 11: Tightline as well with Maybeline's Gel Liner in Blackest Black.

Step 12: Define your brows with GOSH's Truely Brown eye pencil. Then spoolie out your brows.

Step 13: Line and fill in your lips with NYX Cosmetic's 835 Pinky lipliner.
