Borghese: Venetian Red Nail Lacquer Review

This is the first time I tried this product, and I'm actually wearing it out tonight for New Years Eve!
  • Packaging: The nail lacquer comes in an almost "pentagon" shaped thick glass container. The cap is black and has a twisty design on top.
  • Product: Venetian Red is a medium ruby red colour. With this colour I applied two coats for better colour pay off. I didn't apply a base. The formula is generally creamy and it goes on smoothly. I added a clear top coat for extra protection.
  • Final Thoughts: For $11.00 I think that this nail lacquer is pretty good quality, and that you get what you pay for. Like any other nail polish I would recommend a top coat for extra protection.
  • Availability: Borghese, Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharma Plus

BH Cosmetics: 88 Palette Review

I was in the middle of writing my Boxing Day Haul Part 2 when I got my palette in the mail! :D Yaaay!
  • Packaging: The palette came wrapped in about five layers of bubble wrap, inside of a brown paper package. The palette was very well packaged and it was stamped with the word "fragile" on it.
  • Casing & Durability: The palette is hard black plastic that opens with a little clip. Inside the palette, the top half has a mirror on it, and two sponge brushes and holders on the side. The outside bottom has an "88" sticker on it.
  • Product: Each individual eyeshadow is well pigmented. The colours range from neutrals to blues, and reds to browns (see pictures for better view). Each eyeshadow is tiny compared to a MAC eyeshadow (see picture 5).
  • Final Thoughts: This eyeshadow palette is perfect for anyone who wants good quality make up with a large variety of colour choices. I received this palette from eBay for $1 plus shipping so you can get it at really great prices, whether you order it from BHCosmetics, eBay, etc.
  • Availability: BHCosmeticseBayCoastalScents

Boxing Day Haul Part 2: MAC Eyeshadows

[Part 1] This is the first chance I've actually gotten to continue my Boxing Day haul. Better late than never. :3

Okay so I had gone to MAC four times on Boxing Day, and ended up buying two lipsticks and four eyeshadows. (Lipsticks here) I bought De-Vil, Aquadiasiac, Humid, and Sweet & Punchy.
  • De-Vil is a rich bronze colour with orangy undertones. It's part of the Cruella de Vil portion of Venomous Villains Collection.
  • Aquadisiac is a shimmery sea turquoise colour with a lustre finish.
  • Sweet & Punchy is a limited edition bright yellow-green from the To The Beach Collection. (Veluxe Pearl)
  • Humid is a permanent frosty intense green from the To The Beach Collection.

Sassy Acid Punch Look Using MAC & MUFE

This was my look today; I love green eyeshadows!

Products Used:
- MAC's Sweet And Punchy
- MAC's Sassy Grass
- MAKE UP FOREVER's Acid Green
- GOSH's Green Grass Eyeliner
- Clinique's High Lengths Mascara

Clinique High Lengths Mascara Review & Pictures

Clinique's High Lengths Mascara ($18.00) is made to stretch limp, lifeless lashes to lengths beyond your wildest expectations, and to make eyes look noticeably wider, fully energized.

Packaging: The mascara comes in white tube with a silver cap. It's easy to store.
Wand/Brush: The wand is very flexible. The brush is small and has short teeth- but only on half of the brush (see pictures). Handeling this mascara is very difficult because it has a very unusual shape.
Formula: There isn't much special about the formula, although I find that the mascara doesn't dry very quickly, which is good for you if you spoolie your lashes after applying mascara (like me).
Final Thoughts: Because of the way the wand and the teeth are on the applicator, I generally wouldn't recommend this mascara. It's hard to use and get all of the upper lashes because of the strange shape, although, applying mascara on lower-lashes is a lot easier with this brush. I think that if you're going to buy a mascara for $18 you should be able to use it on any part of your lashes without problems.
Availability: Macy's, Sephora, Clinique.

Maybeline Falsies Lashes Mascara Review & Pictures

Maybeline's Falsies Waterproof Lashes Mascara ($11.00) is their newest mascara formula, made to instantly build 8 times more volume to your lashes without clumping.

Packaging: The mascara comes in a thick, purple tube. It's easy to store and handle.
Wand/Brush: The wand is generally pretty flexible, and the brush is fluffy.
Formula: The formula is very "ink-like", I like it because it creates a very dramatic lash effect. The only thing is that it dries pretty quickly, so it can be a little difficult to work with. Although I find that, with almost any mascara, you still need to brush out your lashes before and after with a spoolie to prevent clumping.
Final Thoughts: This is one of my favorite drug store mascaras. It definitely lengthens and gives volume to your lashes.
Availability: Pharma Plus, Shoppers Drug Mart. Maybeline New York.
