Tutorial: Jeweltone Prom Look

Hello! Here's a look that I did today. I loved it so much that I made it into a tutorial for Prom! I really love jeweltones, especially in makeup. I would recommend fixing your eyebrows if you were actually wearing this to Prom, I just felt pretty lazy this morning. Alright, here we go.

1. Apply a primer to your eyelids. I'm using Too Faced Shadow Insurance. This is actually a pretty important step, even if you're just wearing this to school or something.

2. Apply Urban Decay's 24/7 Shadow Pencil in Clash to the middle of your eyelid.

3. Using a wet, flat eyeshadow brush, apply Annabelle Cosmetic's Studio Pigment in Dragonette to the outter third of your eyelid.

4. Using a fluffy crease brush, blend out the edges of the eyeshadows.

5. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply MAC Cosmetic's Stars'n'Rockets eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyelid. Blend it out and into Urban Decay's Clash.

6. Apply GOSH Cosmetic's Effect Powder in Purple Rain on top of MAC's Stars'n'Rockets.

7. Apply a creme coloured eyeshadow on your browbone to highlight. I'm using the browbone colour in the Sweet As Candy palette from Wet'n'Wild.

8. Apply GOSH's Purple Rain Effect Powder to your lower lashline, and then apply mascara. I'm using Sephora's black mascara.

Annabelle Studio Pigments in Dragonette, LOL, Magentini, & Greed: Review, Pictures & Swatches

Please Read: I am not paid by any cosmetic companies to review any of these products. Everything I review is bought by me, and I will always give a %100 honest review.
  • Packaging:  The pigments come in very sleek, and professional looking pots. They have black caps that snap on. This packaging is pretty different from Annabelle's old pigment jars, although I think they still make the old ones for some reason.. anyways. These are a lot better, there's no doubt about it. The only bad thing about the packaging is that there's only one tiny hole to pick up the pigments from. This does make it a lot more "mess-free" though, but at the same time the old pigments had two options for getting the pigments out. They had the cap twist on, but the cap also popped out to reveal a tiny hole too. The older packaging was definitely cheaply made compared to the new packaging. (See picture 9 for comparison)
  • Product: These really do impress me for a drugstore brand like Annabelle. These are nicely pigmented, and look AWESOME when applied wet. (See pictures 1-2 for swatches)
    • Dragonette: is a bright shimmery teal.
    • LOL: is a bright shimmery yellow.
    • Magentini: is a bright shimmery magenta/fuchsia.
    • Greed: is a medium, shimmery grass green.
  • Final Thoughts: These are definitely pigments that I like to use, and will definitely buy more. Annabelle offers 6 different shades of these studio pigments. I would recommend these, they're great!
  • Availability: $6.00 - $8.50 @ Annabelle, Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharma Plus
DRY - Dragonette, LOL, Magentini, Greed

WET- Dragonette, LOL, Magentini, Greed

Annabelle Lipliner in 205 Cherry Review, Pictures & Swatches

Please Read: I am not paid by any cosmetic companies to review any of these products. Everything I review is bought by me, and I will always give a %100 honest review.
  • Packaging:  This lipliner comes in a basic wooden pencil. It's pretty basic, easy to store, and is small and compact enough to pack away in your purse, makeup bag, or clutch.
  • Product: These lipliners had decent staying power. They go on very smoothly. I do like these, they look great alone or under lipsticks/ or glosses.
    • Cherry: is a bright, pinky-red shade.
  • Final Thoughts: These come in tons of different shades, and Annabelle offers different finishes like metallic and waterproof. These are definitely one of my favorite drugstore lipliners at SUCH a great price and I will be buying more in the future.
  • Availability: $4.00 @ Annabelle, Shoppers Drug Mart

Kerli / Bubble Goth Inspired Look

I finally did a Kerli look! I pulled most of my inspiration for this look through her Tea Party video. I added tons of glitter, too. :) This look is almost mermaid-y. I'm normally hesitant to heavily line my lower lashline with  eyeliner, but for some reason I think it worked well to shape this look. Enjoy!
